8/17/08 Opening The show opened to the image of Reaper standing in the middle of the ring wearing a black and red suit. Reaper went through introducing all of the new faces of the organization and to thank everyone for coming out. Reaper then proceeded to inform everyone of his vision for eV and the tournament and how many had failed him and there would be grave consequences for such. --------------------- Handicap Match This match was over before it began. The Clayton Brothers never showed up to the arena. Paradine stood in the middle of the ring waiting on his match. Reaper stepped out onto the stage after a few minutes and announced that the Clayton Brothers was a waste of time and would not be heard from again. Everyone looked around in wonder as the eVtv cut on to show the Brothers in their rental car. The picture then shows a similar looking car in flames upside down by the side of the road. We dont see the actual accident or anything, we dont even see the Brothers themselves just the burning vehicle. Paradine was awarded the win due to forfiet and was promised by Reaper a match he wouldn't forget next week. ------------------------ Old Friends Michael Dredge is seen entering the locker room just arriving at the event wearing his cowboy attire. As he is walking down the hall way a EV official approaches him. EV Official: Mr. Dredge your late… Michael Dredge: So what. EV Official: The boss isn’t happy with you showing up late Mr. Dredge. Michael Dredge: Again I say so what? EV Official: The boss is already stressed out because he wants everything to run smoothly on the first event and you showing up late already makes the company look bad. Michael Dredge: Look I really don’t care just point me in the direction of my dressing room. EV Official leads Dredge to the dressing room door further down the hallway and Dredge instantly spots a sign saying EV Dressing room. Dredge looks irritated and gets a tone to his voice. Michael Dredge: I said my dressing room not the dressing room where all the other nobodies have to go to change. EV Official: Reaper said if you want your own dressing room that you will have to earn it by proving your worth here in EV Mr. Dredge. Michael Dredge has a furious expression wash over his face as he begins to shout at the EV Official. Michael Dredge: There is no way I am going to share a dressing room with the entire damn roster! Who does Reaper think he is trying to belittle me !? First he puts me against his crazy brother and now he expects me to be cramped in a room full of guys that ain’t no where close to me level?! Who does he think he is?! Ev official: Ummm Mr. Dredge he is the boss and what he says goes. Dredge grabs the man up by the collar of his shirt and pulls him towards him and glares at him. Michael Dredge: Well you tell the boss that come the next event this wont happen again and if it does then me and him are going out back to settle whatever problem he has got with me. Back when we was running together we was cool with one another we was like brothers and ever since he started his own company it seems like he has a chip on his shoulder one that I am about to fix…. Ev Official: Hey don’t take it out on me man I’m just doing my job. Dredge shoves the Ev Official down to the floor then kicks the door open causing everyone in the room to fall silent as he walks in and slams the door behind him. ------------------------- Nanu came down
for his match verses Kale. Both men gave it their all going back and
forth back and forth neither one backing down. Eventually though the
pace got to much and Nanu started to get sloppy. Kale went for a few
big moves but in the end both men tumbled over the ropes after Kale
went for a clothesline both men went over the top and landed hard
on the outside. As they fought suddenly from the crowd appeared Peter
Gilmour. Gilmour ambushes both men and begins to decimate the two
tearing them from limb to limb. Gilmour throws Nanu into the steel
steps over and over until his arm looks to be hanging from his body.
Gilmour then proceeded to beat Kale with a chair until he was nothing
but a bloody lump of flesh. Gilmour grabbed a mic and proclaimed himself
the Xtreme Icon and the future eV champion. [We cut to the back where we see EV head interviewer Lucas Newman standing by in his black suit and pants with red tie holding a microphone. He spins the microphone in his hands a few times and then looks up as the floor manager is giving him the cue to begin.] Lucas: Hello wrestling fans, this is Lucas Newman reporting for EV wrestling and tonight we debut with a spectacular show. We got some matches to crown a brand new EV champion. One of those matches is Joseph Equinox taking on my guest at this time. He is a former 3 time hardcore champion and aformer world champion, he is the Xtreme Icon, PETER GILMOUR! [Peter comes into the scene wearing a black jacket and tights. He is not wearing his mask anymore as he burned it on the last sVo show. Next to Peter is his girlfriend Rose Smith in a stunning red blouse and black skirt. Rose puts her arm around and man and eyes Lucas up down.] Rose: Who the hell you supposed to be? Col. Sanders? Peter: No isn't he that dude from Days of Our Lives? He's been with that Sammi bitch right? What a loser. [Peter and Rose chuckle as the joke was not amusing to Lucas.] Lucas: Anyways, welcome to EV. Tonight, you are in a tournament match with someone you know pretty well in Joseph Equinox. Your thoughts. Peter: Lucas, you are right. I am going into battle against a man I've known pretty well. I face a man who I have been chasing for the past few months. You know I was in sVo with him and he stole MY Hardcore title. I got 1 match with him, Lucas. ONE! I did lose but I was still near the top of the hardcore division and he knew I was a threat to his title. But since sVo closed its doors, I never got that another chance to fight him. But now we are here in EV. It's a new day, a new fed and the circumstances are different. Tonight, we don't fight over a belt. We fight to get closer to a belt. [Peter turns to the camera.] Peter: You see Joseph, me and you are similar in some ways. We were both champions in sVo. We are both very strong. but the one thing we don't have in common, is our goals. My goal is to destroy you and work my way up the ladder in this tournament and become the NEW EV Champion. Tonight, we put the past behind us and move forward. Unfortunately, you will not move on in the tournament. I WILL! Tonight, I will break every bone in your body and I will show the rest of the boys in this tournament, that I am not man to be taken lightly. I will WIN this tournament and I WILL become the NEW EV World Champion. Joseph.... [Peter gets even closer to the camera.] Peter: GOOD LUCK! [Peter pulls back from the camera as Rose kisses the camera with her sexy lips and leaves her lipstick on it as they leave the scene. We go back to ringside.] ----------------------
Wanna Hear A Story Passing back and forth, after applying my face paint. I await the main event, where Steven Steele will suffer an awful defeat at my hands. Suddenly, I hear a knocking at my door. "COME IN" I scream to the door. In walks some young kid, "Hey man, the name is MJ!" The youngster seems excited to be in my locker room. I glare at him, looking him up and down, before speaking. "Something I can help you with?" The kid smiles, "Yes sir, I wanted to tell you a story about a kid who became, how do you say, CRAZY!" I put my hand up, as I do not have time for the nonsense. "I tell you what MJ, how about you get me a cup of coffee, and I will tell you about a man who went from the streets to condos. How a young boy with mental scars became a superstar worldly known!" I laugh as I said this to him. The youngster nods, and quickly runs out the room, "I thought they drug tested wrestlers these days. That kid has to be hyped up on some blow or some PCP. For christ sakes, does he think I care about his sappy story?" Travis walks from his locker room, towards the ready position. Awaiting his chance to make eV history in Fayetteville, North Carolina! ---------------------- Equinox starts
to come down to the ring only to get jumped from behind by Gilmour.
Gilmour doesn't let Equinox off the stage and just beats him down
with massive forarms and high impactful fists. Gilmour grabs Nox up
for a powerbomb and runs and throws Nox off the stage into equipment
before the match even begins. Gilmour then drug Nox into the ring
for the offical start of the match. Gilmour made quick work of Nox
and got the easy three. Talon comes out
and waits for KVT to show. Reaper comes out and announces that KVT
like Banks will be in a special match the next week sense she didn't
have enough courtesy to show awarding the win to Talon. Talon smarted
off to Reaper about this being bullshit. Reaper raised an eyebrow
and announced sense Talon wanted a "real" match that he'd
give him more hell than he could stand next week. Travis and Steel
put on one hell of a show going back and forth for several minutes
before Williams took the advantage. Williams would keep Steel realing
for a while but Steel would get back into the match with a few high
impact moves. Steel would then keep Williams down with a barrage of
technical moves. After controling the match for about ten minutes
Steel went for a shoulder block in the corner but Williams moved out
of the way and Steel hit the pole so hard you could see his shoulder
hanging out of place. Williams took quick advantage and dropped steel
in a fuji armbar which Steel tapped from immediately. Reaper would come out and announce right before the started the match that due to Dredge's ego he was going to have to teach him a lesson and made the match a hangmans horror match. Dredge and MJ meet in the center of the ring. Dredge reaches out and open hand smacks MJ across the face. MJ responds with a swift kick to the midsection of Dredge and wrapping Dredge in a side headlock. MJ takes Dredge down with a headlock takedown. Dredge wastes no time and rolls MJ to the side and pushes on his back to cause MJ to roll backwards forcing him to release the headlock. Both men stand up quickly, Dredge swings with a wild right, MJ tucks and hooks Dredge's arm and spins around wrapping him up in a half nelson. Dredge reaches back and hooks the back of MJ's head droping to a knee and taking MJ over with a snap mare only to lock in a reverse chinlock. MJ rolls back and forth from his left to his right finally pivoting his hips enough to start to stand up. MJ gets back to a verticle base, still in a side headlock now. MJ wraps his arms around Dredge and lifts him up into a back suplex. MJ folds Dredge up and over on the back of his head. MJ quick to his feet heads towards Dredge's legs and grabs him looking to go for a boston crab. Dredge reaches up and grabs MJ by the hair as he is bent over and starts laying into MJ with several hard rights. Dredge then pushes down as hard as he can on MJ's head causing MJ to flip over to where now MJ's shoulders are between Dredges feet almost as if he had done a sunset flip on MJ. MJ rolls back to his feet. MJ goes for a snap dropkick to the sitting Dredge but Dredge rolls to the side out of the way. Dredge and MJ both to their feet. Dredge grabs MJ's arm and adds a twist to it. Dredge with the armlock as he ducks under MJ's arm and twists it torquing the arm and wrist. MJ with a forward roll MJ puts his free hand on Dredge's wrist and kicks up. Dredge with a sharp knee to MJ tries to throw him back down to the mat but MJ jumps and backflips instead. MJ manages by doing so to break the hold and now has Dredge's arm pulled way further back than it was intended to bend. MJ underhooks the arm with one arm and hooks Dredge's neck with the other and quickly drops down to a knee driving Dredge's face into his knee. MJ stands back up and this time lifts Dredge up in the air like for an impact ddt but once again drops to a knee and lets Dredge fall right onto his knee. MJ pushes Dredge to the side off of his knee and stands back up circling Dredge like a caged animal MJ stays behind Dredge as Dredge slowly manages to get to his feet. MJ bounces off the ropes behind Dredge. Dredge turns around just to see MJ leap into the air and do a complete 360 going for a discus style clothesline. Dredge steps forward into it placing his shoulder right into MJ's armpit and grabs the arm while spinning himself and takes MJ down with a hellacious judo toss. Dredge locks in an armbar before standing up and yanking MJ up to his feet only to swing with all his might and take MJ down with a short clothesline that turns MJ inside out. Dredge grabs MJ by the waist and lifts MJ up looking for a german suplex. Dredge lifts and throws MJ looking for a release variation but MJ backflips through it landing on his feet. MJ lands right behind Dredge, MJ leaps up and does a body scissors on the back of Dredge. MJ flips up and grabs dredge in a reverse bulldog taking Dredge down hard. MJ takes a few steps from Dredge and is facing him. MJ does a one handed spinning cartwheel putting him a couple steps from Dredge with his back to him. MJ does a standing backflip landing with a double footed stomp on Dredge but manages to balance on Dredge. MJ leaps from the body of Dredge doing a shootingstar kneedrop into the ribs of Dredge before rolling off of Dredge. MJ gets to his feet the crowd in the audience going nuts. MJ is standing on the second rope facing the crowd throwing up the rock horns taunting and working them up. MJ does a backflip off the rope landing on his feet and heads back towards Dredge. Dredge grabs MJ by the waist and pulls him down and into the second rope as he approaches. Dredge back to his feet starts to lay in with frantic forarm shots to the back of MJ's neck. Dredge lifts MJ to his feet and sends him into the ropes. MJ gets to the ropes and leaps up onto the top rope looking for a moonsault like move. Dredge has it scouted, MJ backflips and Dredge turns to the side causing MJ to land on his shoulders. Dredge does a forward flip somoan drop knocking all the wind out of MJ. Dredge back to his feet he drops a knee right above the eye of MJ and stays on the ground just to throw rapid punches at MJ. Dredge grabs MJ and lifts him up only to stuff him between his legs. Dredge lifts MJ up looking for a power bomb. MJ falls back trying to hurricanrana Dredge but Dredge leans all of his weight back. Dredge lifts MJ back up into a powerbomb. Dredge elevates MJ off his shoulders for a high elevation powerbomb but MJ manages to kick enough and squirm enough to get his feet just on Dredges shoulders enough to push off and balance standing on Dredges shoulders for just a second before jumping off and executing a sunset flip on Dredge, Dredge rolls through it hooking MJ's waist lifting him up as he stands looking for a massive spine buster but MJ pushes off of Dredges hips with his feet and off of Dredges shoulders with his arms and pops into the air only to wrap his legs around Dredges neck again looking for a hurricanarana but once again Dredge has it scouted and lifts MJ up for a powerbomb this time just throwing MJ as soon as he gets him up. Due to the counters they've moved to the edge of the ring and when Dredge throws MJ, he goes over the top rope and slams hard on the outside arena floor. Dredge takes a couple of breaths only to go charging at MJ who is slowly getting back to his feet. Dredge leaps between the middle and top rope looking for a spear like move. MJ drops out of the way and lets Dredge fly face first into the guard rail. MJ gets to his feet staying with Dredges back as Dredge stands up. MJ hooks in a half nelson MJ lifts Dredge up going for a half nelson suplex but Dredge kicks wildly and manages to block it. MJ quickly rethinks strategy and instead releases the half nelson and jumps up driving a knee into the back of Dredge causing Dredge to fall forward into the railing. Dredge goes to stand back up but when he does MJ hooks his arms behind his back. MJ slowly manages to put the top of his skull between Dredges shoulders blades and tuck his chin. MJ jumps up managing to put his feet on the apron. MJ leaps off the apron doing a forward flip and drives Dredge down with a very modified impailer. MJ slowly gets to his feet and starts looking around for some other way to cause damage. MJ walks over to the steps and moves them to where the top step is facing Dredge. MJ takes a few steps back. Dredge starts to get to his feet as MJ runs up the steps leaping off with a forward flip. Dredge catches him on his shoulder and drops down powerbombing MJ hard right on the back of his neck. Dredge lifts MJ to his feet and hooks him for a suplex. Dredge lifts MJ up into the air and turns him to where MJ lands stomach first on Dredges shoulder. Dredge snaps MJ off his shoulder while sitting out dropping MJ witha modified emerald fusion. Dredge gets to his feet lifting MJ who looks out of it. Dredge hooks MJ in a t-bone suplex position. Dredge throws MJ over his head causing MJ to land right on this shoulderblades and back first on the top setp and slide all the way down the steps his head snapping off each one as he slides down. MJ's head finally ends resting on the bottom step. Dredge takes a breath and runs towards the apron jumping up on it before leaping off of it right back and goes for a stomp on MJ's face but MJ rolls out of the way at the last second causing Dredge to jam his knee. Dredge lays on the ground howling in pain holding his knee. MJ gets to his feet still half out of it. MJ makes his way to the apron lifting it up and pulling out not one but two black steel chairs. MJ slides both under the ring ropes. MJ walks back over to the steps and lifts them up high over his head and steps over to Dredge driving them down upon Dredge's leg as hard as he can. Dredge covers up and rolls around in pain as MJ walks back to the ring and throws the steps up and over the top rope. MJ slides under the bottom rope and quickly grabs one chair and sets it up not far from the ropes the back of the seat facing the ropes. MJ walks over to the steps and slides them to where the top step faces towards the chair. MJ grabs the last chair and holds it in his hands. MJ looks over towards Dredge's direction and see Dredge still on the ground. MJ charges towards the steps running up the three steps leaping from the steps landing on the chair steping from the chair onto the back of the chair and leaping from the chair towards the ropes. Dredge pops up playing dead the entire time. MJ lands on the tope rope and notices his target is no longer on the ground and quickly tries to balance on the rope stopping himself. Dredge looks up at MJ and makes a "come on" like gesture while MJ just nods and throws the chair as hard as he can towards Dredge. Dredge catches it and laughs at MJ who back flips like he's going to backflip off the rope back into the ring but when he's upside down in the air he grabs the top rope and uses it to sling his body back around. MJ's feet come swinging through the middle and bottom rope like a battering ram dropkicking the chair into Dredge's face. MJ lets go of the top rope and ends up sitting on the apron. Dredge's face is busted up as he's laid out on his back. MJ gets back to his feet his back to Dredge. MJ jumps and bounces off the bottom rope his hands on the top rope. On the third bounce MJ leaps up to the top rope but his feet misses the rope and instead the back of his calfs hit and whiplashes MJ backwards as he tucks and lands on Dredge with a moonsault. MJ stands up and grabs the chair. MJ sets the chair as if to sit in with the seat facing the ring. MJ grabs Dredge and gives him a very stiff european uppercut knocking Dredge back into the chair sitting. MJ holds up his hands sorta like a camera measuring up Dredge and cackles a sadistic laugh before slidding back into the ring. MJ never slows and rolls right to his feet at a full spring . MJ spins and falls into the ropes letting them sling him back even faster than normal. MJ runs up the steps and leaps while cartwheeling in the air. MJ lands with his hands on the top of the chair upside down. MJ pushes off the chair while landing balanced on the top rope. MJ stumbles a little and almost falls back forward into the ring but MJ manages to hold onto it. MJ steadies himself and then leaps off the top rope his back to Dredge first corkscrewing through the air while forward flipping, looking for a corkscrew plancha splash. Dredge rolls off the chair causing MJ to land ribs first on the back of the chair flipping over landing on the back of his head his legs slamming into the railing as MJ doesn't move. Dredge grabs the broken and mangled chair and drops it over MJs face and leans against the railing using it to steady as he jumps into the air and stomps on MJ's face. Dredge keeps checking his own face noticing he's bleeding from the dropkick. Dredge grabs the edge of the back of the chair and puts it against MJ's throat and starts to choke the life out of MJ. Dredge goes to the apron and starts looking under it to find some more toys. Dredge pulls out different items and just throw them over his shoulder, we see a wooden baseball bat, a toolbox, a fire extenguisher and a black bag. Dredge finally stops as he slowly pulls out a long two by four. At the end of the two by four we see a small rigging of explosives. Dredge gets a sick look on his face and makes his way to MJ. MJ has rolled to his stomach and is holding his ribs tightly as Dredge gets to MJ. Dredge starts to pull back on MJ's hair to sit him up on his knees suddenly MJ brings his hand up and throws a white powder into Dredge's eyes. We see MJ holding the black bag that Dredge had thrown over his shoulder. MJ drops the bag of powder as the blinded Dredge has dropped the two by four which managed not to detonate upon impact. MJ leaps into the air and takes Dredge down with a layout ace crusher. Dredge rolls over onto his back his feet towards the ring. MJ reaches over and grabs the two by four and hops up onto the apron. MJ leaps off the apron looking to slam the two by four into Dredge's face. Dredge rolls back onto his shoulderblades and sticks his feet into the air to nail MJ. MJ manages to land on Dredges feet and balance upon them. MJ does a forward flip off of the feet of Dredge and slams the two by four across Dredge's head as a small explosion goes off in a cloud of smoke. MJ looks up hanging from the cable above the ring the noose swings. MJ grabs Dredge and rolls him into the ring. MJ reaches under the apron and pulls out a ladder. MJ slides the ladder into the ring and rolls in after it. Dredge is starting to get to his feet only to get nailed by the ladder as MJ throws it at Dredge. MJ picks back up the ladder and sets it up. MJ lifts Dredge to his feet and puts him on his shoulders and starts the climb. Dredge starts to kick and try and get off MJ's shoulders. MJ sits Dredge down who is standing on the third from the top step. MJ on the fourth from the top. MJ and Dredge start wailing away at one another with wild fists. Dredge nails MJ with a monster hook which puts MJ off balance. MJ jumps back turning in the air and lands balanced on the top rope. MJ springboards back towards the ladder and hits Dredge with a dropkick knocking Dredge and the ladder over. MJ rolls out of the ring and grabs another ladder. MJ slides it into the ring and reaches under the ring again producing a table. MJ slides the table in and rolls in himself. MJ sets up the one ladder Dredge has gotten to his feet and goes to hit MJ with the swift cut. MJ ducks it. Dredge turns around, MJ goes for a right hand. Dredge blocks it and grabs MJ by the back of the head and headbutts him. MJ steps back and as soon as he does Dredge snaps off the most vicious snapping version of the swift cut in history knocking MJ backflipping onto his face. Dredge grabs the second ladder and sets it up beside the first one to where the steps are facing one another. Dredge grabs the table and starts to climb. Dredge sets the table between the two ladders like a platform. Dredge looks down to see MJ starting to get up. Dredge leaps from the top of the ladders and lands on MJ with a high cross body. Both men are down. Dredge rolls out of the ring and reaches under the apron pulling out a bull rope. Dredge starts to tie another noose using the rope. Dredge throws it into the ring and slides in behind. MJ is on his knees as Dredge gets in the ring. Dredge with a major left hand knocks MJ down hard. Dredge starts to wrap the noose around MJ's neck like a leash and pulls up on it choking MJ. MJ tries to get up but everytime he does Dredge just clotheslines him back down and starts to choke him again. MJ kicks Dredge in the balls causing Dredge to let go of the rope. MJ gets to his feet the rope still around his neck. MJ starts stomping on Dredge like a mad man before pulling the rope from his neck and wrapping it around Dredge's MJ starts to drag Dredge towards the ladder MJ starts to climb still holding the rope. Dredge climbs up to help himf rom being choked. Both men get to the top MJ starts walking on the table to the other ladder while Dredge stays on the origional. Dredge goes for a right hand but MJ ducks and pulls Dredge to him using the rope and knees Dredge in the gut. MJ goes to hook Dredge's head but Dredge drops down and uppercuts MJ in the balls. MJ falls to his knees. Dredge quickly reaches up and grabs the noose hanging from the cable and wraps it around MJ's neck. Dredge Grabs MJ by the shoulders and throws himself to the side bringing MJ with him. The noose tightens around MJ's neck We see Mj's face light up his eyes growing wide. Dredge starts to fall to the canvase but suddenly he stops still a foot or so from the mat he's kicking his leg as the noose that was still around his neck is tied around MJ's waist. MJ evidently tying it around him while Dredge was busy tying the noose around MJ's neck. MJ and Dredge are both hanging and both start to fade away... The first one to pass out is going to lose this match....The refs are watching as both men trying to last longer the other one but both seem to fade away at the same time.. The refs lower the cable to let the men on the ground and start to undo the nooses calling for EMTs. Reaper slowly comes walking out onto the stage to Revolution is my name by Pantera. Reaper: I'm calling this a draw and we'll have a double or nothing points match next week. thank you. Reaper turns around and leaves the stage as the crowd starts to go wild as we fade away to black
